Well, this is just the pits! Such an erratic shooting team - makes for great wins and ugly losses. Guess this is the way it will be all year. Sigh. Thought we had a great chance to win all three games in paradise, but alas, not to be. Disappointed. But not as much as the team, I am sure. Hope they can regroup and make a good showing against Rutgers tomorrow night.
Well, that was just terrible. It's got to be extremely frustrating for everyone when NO ONE is hitting shots. Hope they can do some re-grouping and play ball tomorrow night!!
One of the reasons I dislike a short (10-player) roster is that when the majority of the team is shooting poorly, you run out of options trying to find someone on your bench who isn't struggling shooting the ball.
have to believe that as the scoring drought went on, the Horns lost focus on the defensive end. USC 54% of their shots in the second half was a killer. They have a chance to pull out a good trip if they can win against Rutgers. Should be a defensive battle with the team that is able to get more open looks and knock them down winning. I wish Lauren had tried to take some shots. She was the only Horn that didn't take a shot. Well, good thing about BB. A couple of early losses won't keep the team out of the hunt. But those scoring droughts will. Horns need consistency in having balanced scoring. USC provided a glimpse of how different a team plays when they have more than one player hitting shots. One more win tonight, Horns! Have to shake this lose off and get ready for the game tonight.
What about the Texas trapping that allows the ball to be kicked out for an easy layup for the other team? It sounds like a good idea, but it does not seems to create as many turnovers as it does layups.....am I wrong??
Jusme....hey, I ordered the games, and turned down sound so I could listen to Carol Ross, too......I like how she is always hopeful things will turn around when we are shooting poorly.... But I must say, the feed has been "iffy"...
We are leading at half by 3 points....if we had made the nine missed free throws, we'd be up by 12. Notre Dame won the other division, they beat OU!! Maybe Muffett McGraw should coach the ND Football Team...
