First Watson demoted, now firing Satan Patterson....sometimes it's worth hitting rock bottom to purge the poison from the drinking water. I'll gladly absorb another year of struggles on the field knowing the future is MUCH brighter at OC and AD.

Both guys were an absolute cancer to their positions here. Watson is a good guy who lacked the competence we need...but Patterson is simply a POS and deserves the worst for tarnishing much we held sacred here.

 

Who hired this dufus? How did they ignore his past?

 

That is a good sign, the coaches are focused on and busy with the players and upcoming games.

 

He was hired by former UT President Bill Powers.

 

if they are calling the media to see what is going on then I wonder if they are still focused?

 

And I suspect Mack will take it if offered. Powerful position on the biggest stage in all of college football if he wants it.

 

UT Athletics lost money last year. Somehow.
The Patterson buyout and recent attendance likely put us in the red again.

 

One thing for sure Mack can do is be a great ambassador of the University. There’s obviously a lot more to the job than that but he might be a really good fit.

 

I hope they would first ask Strong what he would think of that.

 

Not sure if Mack will be offered. I think he'll be in the conversation, but more as a "who do you think we should get, Mack?" kind of role.
