I like Mike. Right now he's like a street sweeper following the parade. Lot's of mess that the former AD (he whose name shall not be spoken) left to be cleaned up. I didn't like that parade either.
Problem is, he hasn't actually picked any of the trash up - the higher prices, the extra fee for the parking passes, the re-sale bans. It's like he's just walking over the garbage, smiling to the crowd. You could make an argument that the plan all along was to hire Stevie P to do what UT really wanted - raise ticket prices and bring in more cash. Then if things got too hot and he annoyed too many people, can him, and bring in a glad hander to take selfies with people, whist keeping all the same policies. Result - the extra money that UT so desperately craves (why?), while now having someone that everyone likes. Until Perrin actually does something differently, and changes what supposedly got his predecessor fired, he's just a seat warmer. But feel free to ask him for a selfie - he'll oblige!
