Pettitte Asks to Be Excused From Hearing

WASHINGTON — The chairman of the House Oversight Committee is supporting Andy Pettitte’s request not to have to testify publicly against his former teammate Roger Clemens at a public hearing on Wednesday, a congressional staff person said Monday.

Pettitte asked out of public testimony because he did not want to say something to hurt his friend and former teammate while in the glare of national television coverage, according to a government official who spoke on condition of anonymity.

It is all according to what Andy really said. I am more than certain that the committee members will use some of his testimony.

Pettitte already gave a testimony on the record. His Wednesday appearance just would've been a repeat of his earlier testimony, so it wouldn't really affect the outcome except in the court of public opinion.

how is Andy lying? Later on in that article he says he got HGH from Mcnamee which he already admitted to doing.

This is not looking good at all for Roger.

I think the 'Andy is lying' comment meant that Roger is going to have to say that Andy is lying or most likely that he is mistaken.

If this is true then it is not looking good for Roger at all.

Not so fast. Davis claims he was misquoted.

    Davis says he was misquoted.

This link also said that Pettitte often contradicted himself, however his story did not jive with Clemens on every account.
