But ... but ... Springsteen wrote "cut loose like a deuce" and it's pretty clear what he says in his original version. It's Manfred Mann's Earth Band who changed it to "revved up like a deuce" in their cover version, but definitely sings it as "revved up like a douche". Ok back to the thread....
