This is what everyone is up against. Apparently, looting is to be tolerated or else it's a racist act to oppose it: ACLU and activists say North Carolina anti-riot, looting bill is 'racist' and 'anti-BLM'
The article is bullshite. If Trump did something wrong, the liberals at the IRS would be all over him. He's clean.
I'm making the educated leap that a few liberal geniuses likely approved this summer trip. Dozens of California students, parents stranded in Afghanistan after summer trip abroad Parents and students? Darwin's Law on display. Who the f**k takes a school summer trip to a war zone?
That is a true head shaker. The school district officials, parents, and teachers are certainly learning a valuable lesson. I hope they get out safely.
I think those were Afghanis brought here because they worked for the military Hence the use of the word "allies "
Posting this in the Left wing Looniness and Right Wing Looniness threads because a D and R Congressman woke up deciding to be a idoit. Pentagon: US lawmakers' visit to Afghanistan 'took time away' from mission Who thinks flying INTO an active evacuation from a war zone is a smart idea? Unless your a pilot flying in military personnel/supplies or with an empty plane to fly evacuees out stay the hell out of Kabul. You are NOT going to be helpful.
there is no left wing Insanity thread so I will put this here The Dem Mayor of NOLA who apparently has not watched weather news for weeks "Mayor LaToya Cantrell on Friday said that with little time left before Hurricane Ida reaches Louisiana, residents should get ready to hunker down and ride out the storm. In a press conference Friday afternoon, Cantrell said that there wasn’t enough time to establish the contraflow procedures necessary to move all of the city’s residents out of the city before the storm’s expected landfall. She reiterated that New Orleanians inside the city’s levee protection system are safe, but said that residents outside of the levees were under a mandatory evacuation order and should get out as soon as possible." FOX 8 New Orleans on Twitter: ""Time is not on our side," Mayor Cantrell says contraflow cannot be set up so a mandatory evacuation cannot be issued, but to shelter-in-place and hunker down. https://t.co/GCgAtEvKAS" / Twitter
What city ever has relocated all residents? Want to make a bet that NO has been urging and relocating residents before this moment?
That really is the million dollar question. What were they saying on Thurs, Wed, Tues. It sure does seem like the same boneheads keep making the same mistakes in N.O. about hurricane preparation and evacuation. I really don't like to see these folks suffer, but at the same time it can sometimes be a little hard to have sympathy for people that take little to no preparedness steps and wait for somebody else to come bail them out again. Sure, it's an act of nature that you can't control, but at the same time, you had a 10 day countdown to do something about it.
If there is issue with word all take it up with the N O tv station that was a quote from Fox8 New Orleans hence the quotation marks. At the link in the presser on Friday of Latoya she said there was no time to issue mandatory evacs . There will always be people who dont use common sense or refuse to leave who then expect others to put their lives in dangers to rescue them.
This is an example of why I oppose teaching CRT in schools: A Teacher Allegedly Had Students 'Pledge Allegiance' to a Pride Flag Liberal teachers are wacked. Period. You can't trust them not to stretch it out of all proportion. They will make students do things in the name of their political values. I for one am not too impressed by the run of the mill public school teachersat all. Not at all. They are far too glorified for what they provide given the emotional bias we witness.

I had some poll pop up on my FB feed the other asking.... "Do you think it should be illegal to burn the American Flag or the BLM flag?" ...WTF...???? somehow equating the American Flag to the BLM flag. I'm so done with the pride flag being flown at government buildings in particular, but also at corporate offices.
Did the article actually give any detail about what the mother posted? The author doesn't actually know the details of what she posted or is working REALLY hard to write in as vague as possible terms.
Why anyone is still supporting FB with an account is beyond me. It's as un American as anything going right now.
Believe me, I understand the concerns about Facebook with respect to privacy and their control over content. But Facebook has been huge in my life. I reconnected with many high school and college friends. It supported my prose/poetry hobby and led to my being published for several year every Saturday in my hometown newspaper. In particular, I reconnected with an old buddy and we became great friends again. He passed away two years ago and at his memorial was a widowed lady friend from high school. Now I'm married to her. I'm also member of a Leukemia FB page and it's been very gratifying and I've tried to inspire people with my writings. Here is one that was well received by the group: Getting my 3rd infusion. My WBC went from 311 down to 7.7 after the first two. The nurse was beaming. My swollen glands have also melted away. Anyway, I'm sitting by the window with a view of the Austin skyline and the planes flying in and out. Here's some song lyrics I wrote for today and for all of you. It's about living with reality and putting it in it's proper place. Watching Planes Fly I have a seat in the corner A nice window too I can drift away anytime I want With three words like I love you My mind's in the clouds Floating above this merciless place There's no turbulence, except at the door When I come back to the evils we face I remember all my summer nights Settling down wasn’t on my mind Now that I’ve lived it all, let’s do it again That’s the cure I think we’ll come to find I can see some clouds now The water inside holds them down But their darkness is not the color of my mind I know they brought the garden that I found I remember all my dreams How could I not, I lived them all Thank the Lord I didn’t ask for much Now I know he’ll take my call
I just watched a Netflix series with my wife called The Start-up. It was all about building a "dark net" that was an "agnostic" platform and there was much discussion and angst about controlling content. It was being used by drug dealers, terrorists and other criminal types. It was interesting to see the discussion about censorship or control of users on what to some of them was just a tollway that collected money for it's use but was indifferent as to the speed being traveled by the cars or highway crimes or smuggling (human or otherwise). It was a little hokey at times, but it hi-lighted the idealism of some to not interfere.
True, but people still support NBA, MLB, and NFL, which have all shown support of the horrendously un-American BLM group. I agree with bystander in that FB has been great for connecting with old friends from growing up, etc. I'm also on some barbecue and Lincoln groups. Bystander also mentioned Netflix. I think they are un-American and promote leftist ideals as they signed deals with the Obamas a few years ago. I won't sign on with them.
Yep, the dark web is a real thing. It's not censored at all, but there's a reason why people want to go that deep underground. It's where internet thieves, terrorists, drug dealers, and child pornographers conduct business.
Bystander, I watched Start Up too. Absolutely loved it. Great drama and great characters, especially the Haitian family and their cultural dynamics. Abrupt ending though. I don't think they were expecting to be cancelled.
