So something I've thought about for a long time is keeping a file on everything a politician says and then what they do as well as the response from the media to what they do. I figured this might be a good place to keep track of these things here for documentation purposes.

For example we have already seen Biden claim he's for unity but his actions belie that to not be the case with his racially inflammatory remarks, along with the remarks by other leading Democrats. Throughout his administration Id like to be able to document his policies regarding China, Big Tech censorship, and the economy as well as his Middle Eastern policy, as well as the posturing and double talk of the media regarding his policy decisions.

I'm hoping for a collaborative effort especially on the Twitter front. I dont do Twitter but I know Hornfans has some crack Twitter sleuths. I'll definitely contribute anywhere I can.

This may sound crazy. But if the government really does try to confiscate our guns, we would be much better served by organized community militias. Otherwise, you may take out a couple but they will eventually kill you and take your guns.

That is what happened to start the American Revolution. The British came to take guns away from back country Minute Men. The Minute Men assembled and pushed the Brits back to Boston. It doesn't work any differently now.

Jeezus. Y'all are going to force @Dionysus to cancel the West Mall with talk like that.

Yes, it is crazy, not just sound but literally crazy to plan.

Which parts of the constitution do liberals believe in these days? I’m serious. They literally are okay with violating the 1st, 2nd and 4th amendments. Here is hoping your party is always in power.:beertoast:

All of it. I also care about @Dionysus and West Mall and would hate for his hand to be forced because normally rational people are blind to the current political climate and get irrational.

After the Capitol Building assault, we need to practice actual patriotism, not the bastardized version that the minority of Trump supporters used to justify their attempted coup. :beertoast:

You can’t be for something but be unwilling to defend it. If a government does not know citizens will revolt, you are no longer in a democracy. Liberals like to crow about education, but often seem ignorant of history. A majority of Americans have their heads stuck in the stand right now and it’s scary.

Losing politicians shouldn't foment revolution either yet here we are. If you think it's ok to foment revolution simply because your candidate received fewer votes then "Democracy" is not the word you are looking for. Democracy is winning more votes. Not storming the Capitol Building, plotting kidnappings or coordinating shootouts.

You have 2 more years befor the next national election. That's plenty of time to woo voters to your side. My only request is that you do so honestly, with integrity.

Wait, are you talking about Dem politicians and the riots this summer?

I’ve not advocated any of that. Those folks had the right to protest, but no right to storm the capitol building. The 2nd amendment protects my right to own a weapon. A decision by the democrats to confiscate weapons will result in something much worse and widespread than last week’s riot.

The majority of those who stormed the capital were antifa members and some were special forces. Those of you who just watch Fox, CNN,MSNBC, main stream media are getting 100% lied to. It’s not your fault and I don’t blame any of you. Please keep an open mind. The truth WILL come out. Wait for it, it is coming. I’m not saying I have all the truth. Just that most of us who are not high level military or in Trumps inner circle, don’t.

There are legitimate differences of opinion as to how the constitution might be interpreted and it is childish to act like there is not and to say those whose opinions differ are traitors or liars.

re guns, the Dems have a bare majority and cannot pass confiscatory legislation. Senator Blumenthal of Connecticut has proposed a red flag law. That is pretty tame and is what Biden will probably decide to back.
The Dem red hots run their mouths as do the GOP red hots. Neither will prevail.

iis, the problem you stated is on purpose. Liberals are proud of the education system that deceives the populace into a place of ignorance.

I was talking about a violation of the Constitution, and all SH can talk about is the Capitol riot. Is that the comeback for everything now?

We should have free speech. No, extremists rioted.

We have a right to own guns and protect ourselves (even from the government). No you don't because extremists rioted.

We don't have to house the military in our houses. Well, now you do because extremists rioted.

We have a right to not have the government go through all our stuff. Not anymore, extremists rioted.

Or maybe SH is just a parrot with speech recognition. I shouldn't argue with a parrot I guess.

Well Pelosi explored the idea of a literal military coup.

How about this? Let's see what Biden does. If he goes too far I think the whole "enemies foreign AND domestic" thing might gain some traction.

For that reason alone, the entry into the WH was the absolute dumbest thing anyone on the right has done in recent memory. They enabled the Left to delete every similar act and exhortation by a politician with one click.

Your citation and encouragement of revolution little more than 72 hours after the Capitol Building was assaulted was tone deaf, at best.

Maybe you are an extremist. Let's call it what it is if you don't have the ability to moderate your own speech. That's not on me but you. I was simply pleading for moderation in light of our current political climate. You do you.
  29. Monahorns

It was a framing of current political reality with historical fact at best. The riot was bad. But attacking the principle of free speech (which you supported) was also bad. Those who broke laws are being prosecuted. I support that. Big Tech attacking speech doesn't violate the 1stA directly but works as an end around. Big Tech doing the dirty work that Big Government won't do.

My statement was a realization of what should happen if Big Government or any other entity should attack the 2ndA directly or indirectly. Patriots isn't just the name of a football team. If you can't support those ideals, then you aren't American in any important way.

This is deflection and slander. You are saying I rioted by virtue of wanting the freedom outlined in the Bill of Rights. They are all natural rights by the way. Not allowed me by you or the government. They are conferred on every individual by God and His creation. If that makes me an extremist, to protect the Bill of Rights, what does it make you who is already calling for the end to the 1st one on the list?

This is what was initially posted.

You were hyperbolizing the political reality into a hypothetical situation that no leader has actually encouraged. This is the same language that is leading to the shutdown of Parler because less intelligent people who follow the same rhetoric are now calling for assassination of leaders. It's dangerous and tone deaf.

NOBODY is advocating for that that right now.

No, I'm saying the rhetoric is dangerous and it if continues, or heaven forbid increases in intensity, @Dionysis will have to make some hard choices. If you truly care about him or Hornfans I'd table the revolution talk.
