It is almost like the debacle WAS the plan.
I get the sense from some of the interviews that Biden's cabinet set constraints on bringing in sufficient temporary personnel to Bagram and as a result the commanders were left with only the Kabul airport option. So after Biden already shot down the smart plan, commanders on the ground did the best they could with a crappy plan.

There's virtually never any international pressure on them to take them. Of course, many of them are broke-*** poor and often not much freer than where these people are coming from. For example, going from Afghanistan to Somalia, Syria, or Libya would be like going from the front pan into the fire. However, plenty could take them. Saudi Arabia could easily take them all. UAE, Dubai, and Kuwait could certainly take a proportionate share.

All while our long term allies are ripping the Biden administration for their idiocy. This same administration ruined the border security Trump achieved, and reversed the requirement to send illegal alien sex offenders back home. Fortunately SCOTUS has slapped Biden across the face twice already, but every American should be given the opportunity to kick him in his tiny nuts.
