this is amazing! out of 44 climate models that predict future warming, not one predicted what we have actually experienced. Empirical data (which I am told is quite important to the scientific enterprise) is diverging fairly wildly from the climate models that you and I hear so much about. ha! that was funny newdoc seroiusly, isn't the divergence amazing? it seems that the house of cards is falling down. i still think there is a 50% chance that we will finally have a new "hottest year on record" that registers as such in all 4 indices and tops 1998 as we have been warming for 200 years, but there are some indications that may not come for quite some time if at all. we will see.
