Shawn Watson was fired from Pitt today.

Pitt scoring offense before Shawn Watson:
    2015: 68th 28.2 ppg
    2016: 10th 40.9 ppg
Pitt scoring offense after Shawn Watson:
    2017: 101st 23.9 ppg
    2018: 94th 25.6 ppg

Pitt total offense before Shawn Watson:
    2015: 82nd 377.5 yards pg
    2016: 38th 446.8 yards pg
Pitt total offense after Shawn Watson:
    2017: 97th 366.2 yards pg
    2018: 98th 369.7 yards pg

He has run bad offenses at Northwestern, Colorado, Nebraska, Louisville, Texas and now Pitt.

If his career pattern continues, I can only assume his next stop is Alabama and we can see if his offensive terribleness is enough to sink Saban. Saban has proven he can win with Lane Kiffin and Mike Locksley. Winning with Shawn Watson would be the ultimate challenge.

It takes a rare breed to go sky diving and leave your parachute at home. To go from 10th in the nation in scoring offense to 101st in just a year is impressive.

    That's really funny :lmao:

Watson must be the Yoda of interviewing. To continue to get hired as an OC with that resume can only be explained by some kind of mind trick.

Shawn Watson gets another job with a big program. He is now an offensive quality control coach at Georgia. In fairness, this hire makes sense for once. Georgia was clearly looking for someone that knows how to stop the Texas offense, and they definitely found their man.
