There are two words to describe the 2013 recruits who have committed to Texas thus far... SICK and UNFAIR. SICK -- This recruiting class is absolutely sick with the caliber (size, speed, etc.) of guys that Mack's new staff is bringing in. UNFAIR -- If the Aggies and Tigers thought having the LHN was unfair, they'd have definitely bolted seeing the Longhorn players we have coming over the horizon.
Unbelievable news! Just read that the kid won't even turn 17 'til August, so he's essentially 16 1/2 years old right now. He's a great student, too. His dad is apparently a highly respected doctor at Scott and White. In short, he is built for maximum success.
The staff is on a roll... if this class lives up to 70 percent of how it's being billed, this is going to be an amazing group of kids.
He has great concentration over the middle in traffic. The ball just seems to end up in his hands the majority of time.
This will be 3 unbelievable classes in a row.Getting a Malcolm Brown, Jonathan Gray, and then Swoops back to back to back. Not sure we have done this since I started following recruiting. This is the kind of momentum that built teams that won 3 BCS games in 5 years like just accomplished. Everyone is still hurting from the last 2 years, but damn. We lost 9 games over the 6 years before. It was a hell of a run, and we're building the talent to do it again. Can't wait to see how this turns out.
Lert's hope it turns into a dynasty war between us and Alabama considering the recruiting classes we are both piling up.
Mack & Co are on a freaking mission. He's always pulled in good classes, but last year's was sick, and this one is downright insane. Cue the "Mr. Smythe goes to Austin" and "Bull Durham" sound bites.
