So I am going to buy some boots

I'm interested in getting my first pair of boots. Any suggestions? I'd like to keep it under $150. Something I could wear with jeans or slacks.

Go to the 'reject rack / slightly imperfect boots' section at Shepler's on the day after Thanksgiving.
These are boots with minor defects and I can tell you that I own many pairs of them and can't figure out what's 'wrong' with any of them. You will stretch your $150 into a fine pair of boots that would be out of range otherwise.
