Who do you guys give it to? Homer pick from me: I'm going with Doc Sadler. He had the SHORTEST team in the NCAA this year (fact) and yet NU just finished up their first .500 or better conference season in ten years (1999 being the last, when we went 10-6). They went 8-8 with the shortest team in the NCAA! I'm not going to say Bill Self because, honestly, did any of you expect Kansas to take any kind of dropoff this year? At worst, they were going to finish in the top two or three in the league. They're KANSAS, for crying out loud. Other candidates for me: Travis Ford, Mike Anderson, Frank Martin.
I go with Self. I was very critical of him after his first 2 KU teams lost in the early rounds (I believe that's right). Yes, they get basketball players like we get football talent but to lose almost everyone off of a National Champion and come back to win the conference is a testament to his job this season.
Have to go with KU coach, they were not suppose to win the Big 12 for their 5th straight year, awesome job.
Turdge didn't do much more than Barnes. No way in hell he should be in the conversation. If I had a vote it would go to Mizzou's coach, with Self 2nd.
