Wow. Stanford just squeaked by the 0-3 (now 0-4) New Mexico Lobos @ New Mexico. With Stanford clinging to a 1 point lead, UNM missed 2 free throws. New Mexico missed a three point attempt. Stanford hit a couple more free throws to end the game with a final score of 70-65. Of course, the Pit is a notoriously difficult place to play. This was UNM's first home game. This should give the Lobos some confidence going forward even though it had to be hard to be so close and come up just short.
Guess the Cardinal still haven't recovered from last week's games vs UConn and Texas. FYI, UTPA beat New Mexico. Of course it was by 61-59.
Yeah, sounds like UTPA is not the sweet cupcake they used to be. They only lost to the Aggies by a couple of pts.
