About to pull the trigger on a new set of front-loaders and noticed that steam is the big thing right now. Tacks on about $300 per unit. Is the steam feature a gimmick or is it useful and worth the extra money? What is the point of the steam exactly?
i have been wondering as well. Our units are getting very old...been looking at new stuff and am shocked what they can run.
Isn't the steam cycle supposed to be the super santitary cycle. Like proffessioonal laundry services have to use it (like hotel sheets). I would think if it is just your families clothes, it wouldn't matter. I wash all my stuff in cold and they are as clean as ever.
