Steve Beaird

Steve Beaird, the first 1,000 yard rusher in Baylor Bear history, and the 1974 SWC Offensive Player of the Year, has passed away.

I’m sure many of us old timers remember the Miracle on the Brazos.
Steve was instrumental in making the Bears relevant, at least for that season.

R.I.P. my old friend.

 

I’ll never forget that game. The officials sure seemed happy that Baylor was winning.

 

Grant STILL owes them for that game.
