Ability, motivation, and attitude were not on display for the 2021 Longhorn football team.
So for the rest of the football season, let's hope the Longhorn team takes a page from the Kansas losing program by exhibiting character and team enthusiasm like the Jayhawks did against Texas.

    You get "it".
Thanks for helping remind of wise/proper perspective(s), Billy.
    Lord knows we need it.

Well, you have to (1) LEARN from the failures/mistakes; and (2) then APPLY the lessons learned. Otherwise you're just spinning your wheels.

"Success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm,"
but "insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."
So, a fine line between success and insanity? ;)

A well know president once said, "Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country". Perhaps we have some players that are more interested in taking all they can from Texas and aren't concerned about how they can make Texas a winning football team.

Did anyone catch Saban on NFL countdown yesterday? He was asked about adapting to the game as he was aging. His response was classic. He basically said that Success is the ability to adapt. That includes the changes in people, players and how you coach players. He said you have to get them to understand everyone has the right to have success but you are not entitled to it. So the concept is lost sometimes and as a coach a player needs to be reminded that their DEVELOPMENT depends their sense of purpose on what they want to accomplish and do. They are not entitled to it just because they are here. The fact that they are here is just the beginning of what you can try to do and what you need to focus on,

Anyway it was pretty interesting listening to him. I sure you can find it on YouTube
