Anyone been to the Alps region of Northern Italy? Can you recommend some villages and hiking areas? I want to start making plans for next spring (May) but don't know a lot about that region. Will end up in Switzerland / Austria but want to spend atleast a week in Italy. Thanks and Hook'em.
i really loved my time in Lugano, Switzerland which is basically on the Italian / Swiss border. Lake Como is always a popular choice, but i didn't stay there any length of time. I wouldn't give Milan much time, but i am comparing it to other Italian cities. (in which there is no comparison)
Wanting to do some hiking in the Dolomites so anyone with experience in that region, your input would be much appreciated.
