    Rosie's on Hwy. 71?

I haven't done that in 15 years, but they used to be good.

A co-worker of mine has family in the business. I think they're good.

I was driving out to Llano Saturday morning and looked over at Rosie's (small place on south side of 71) and it is gone. They closed the tamale shop a month or so ago but the restaurant on north side of 71 is till open.

Rosie's tamale shop was an institution and one of my regular stops.

Probably too late for Christmas, but here's our favorite:

    Del Rio Tortilla Factory
    1402 Gillette Blvd.
    San Antonio 78224

(south side of town on the way to Poteet)

We usually order about 30 dozen frozen ahead of time for our family & my brother's and pick them up after the Alamo Bowl.

These are the best I've ever had in 60+ years of tamale eatin'.

The restaurant is still on the north side of 71.

The small tamale shop was on the south side.

We ended up buying from Nueva Onda. They were very good. Thanks for the input.
