Watch out for DPS Trooper Torres. He gave me ticket for 77 in a 70 on US-67 just west of San Angelo. Other than that, I've always liked it.

you will be right in the middle of nowehere but it isnt that bad it you are the outdoors type. not too far from big bend compared to the other major metro areas. got a nice river. you should be really safe in the even of a terrorist attack.

Its funny that you should say that since I was in the tallest building in that town when 9/11 was happening. Tallest building for 200 miles probably........10 floors. [IMG]

not bad so far. Folks above were dead on. Tremendously friendly people, but not a whole lot to do. However, there is a renaissance going on downtown with lots of new bars and restaurants opening up. Starting to turn into a mini-6th street, which is not a bad thing for these parts. Really dry and dusty here too. Loads of stuff for the kiddos to do though, so that's good.

Good news about downtown. . All you need is one good chef to decide to open a place a la Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives and you'll be set.
