Texas-Army Game Thread, Part Deux

It's about that time. First pitch should come in 20 or so minutes.

 

Lets score early and often, cant take another long night.

 

quick 16 innings ought to do it. look at how close Army's game with BC was. Should be over by midnight.

I expect good things. Army won't make it easy on us, but our bats should be more productive. They'd HAVE to be, wouldn't they?

 

Way just said Taylor Jungmann gets the start.

I dunno if I should handle the updates for this. Sure, we won Friday and Saturday, but we didn't push the gamewinner across against B.C. until AFTER I stopped updating (somewhere around the 22nd inning, I think).

I'll gladly do the duties if needed, however.

When I click on the link I get a blank player on the right and it says done on the bottom. Anyone know what might be up? It's like it's not even trying to start playing the game.

 

Price works the count full versus Jungmann. The payoff pitch is sent to Loy at short, who fields it cleanly and fires in time to first for the game's first out.

Ernesto ropes the first pitch he sees to left-center. Rowe cuts it off and prevents extra bases. Man on first, one out.

Moore lines one fair down the third-base line. The ball skims past Torres and into left field for an extra-base hit. Runners on second and third with only one out.

Jungmann a little shaky here at the start. He falls behind Henshaw in the count, 2-0. Henshaw grounds to second and is out at first, but a run scores and Texas trails for the first time in this regional, 1-0.

A foul tip is somehow ruled a wild pitch and another run scores. Can't say I understand that call. Next pitch strikes out McKague, but the damage is already done. Army leads, 2-0.

The 19 inning scoreless streaks ends. Better today in top of first than yesterday.

How was that not a foul tip? I know video feed stinks but it sounded like ball on metal on the mike.

 

Looks like a team that played 25 innings last night. Of course, Army played 9 today.
