TCU comes into this game 13-6 and a 4.5 point favorite. These two teams are eerily identically crappy in nearly every statistical category. They are better rebounders and at assists, but Texas is slightly better at free throws. Fortunately for TCU we dont play an offense that creates fouls. On the flip side if we play our "hack a shaq" defense they won't be able to make their FT attempts which will give us more offensive opportunities. I'm worried Shaka told the team how good they are to be able to come back and almost win the LSU game. I'll go out on a limb and say our talent wins this game even though I'm certain we will be seriously out coached.
Ahh, we shot 50% on three pointers. Just as mentioned by many if we make the three we win, miss and we lose. In this case 50% was enough to win by a point over a pretty mediocre TCU team. I'm emotionally in such a crappy place with Shaka I dont know if anything will impress me because I know more than likely we'll suck the next game.
As down as I have been about this team and this coach, I must have checked my phone 20 times last night between 8 and 9 p.m. for score updates. I even let myself start thing, gosh if they can go 7-4 over the last 11 that is 10-8 in conference and 20 wins, could they make the NCAA tournament with that? Optimism always springs eternal. Hope this feeling lasts past Saturday and they don't just run out another WVU style stinker against Iowa State.
