When Fry took the job at Iowa, they were a doormat. One o the first things he did was have dumper stickers printed up that said: HOOK EM HAWKS (well it works for Texas) He is also known for stealing Grayson County JUCO swimming coach to help fill out his staff in Denton when no one was willing to take an assistants job at NTSU. Not sure what ever happened to Bill Snyder after he helped out his buddy. Fry won the recruiting battle for the first high profile black player when the SWC integrated. Missed being the first black SWC player when Baylor moved their kickoff time up to give the Reverend Westbrook that honor.
GRAYSON COUNTY JUCO Swim coach???!!!! Bill Snyder took to Football like a DUCK to WATER....eh? Fry's coaching tree is so damn impressive.... I have watched a dozen of Fry's interviews on YouTube and the man was hilarious!....and did NOT take **** off of NOBODY!!! R.I.P. "Hook 'EM Hawks!!!"
