I’m ok with the no targeting call. But we better not get a targeting call against us no matter how blatant it may be.
Mitchell over Jaquess at LB. Ingram at RB still not securing the ball. Right now we are not a meritocracy.
Ingram has now fumbled more on his last 2 carries than Ogbonnaya did in his entire time at Texas (and that's total fumbles, not just ones the defense recovered). Both were a direct result of a choice of poor ball-carrying fundamentals.
You may remember, but this is actually three in a row for Ingram. He fumbled on the TCU run that got to the 1 yard line; he just happened to recover it. Think about that: three straight fumbles in key situations.
I see the corners are still not wrapping up while tackling. They are doing this thing where they throw themselves at the feet and legs of the runner. Clearly this was not addressed over the last two games. This will cost us.
To be fair, NFL corners do the same thing when they tackle. We shouldn't be allowing ball carriers to get 20 yards downfield so that corners have to make those plays.
Typical ou play. He was going to hit the returner from the get-go. Did you see him laughing as he walked off the field?
