The latest OSU pitcher is Koda Glover, another big right hander.

Barrera faces him right handed, with two on.
    I guess he bunts.
He doesn't bunt and the runners go and on an 0-2 pitch, it's wild to the backstop and Johnson comes all the way around to tie it up 2-2.

This is nuts and Shaw went all the way to third.
Barrera back up and lines a hit to left and then tries for second is out by a mile on the 8-4 out.

Texas leads 3-2, It's a comedy of errors, but Texas has the lead.

Cantu up with one on and one out.
    He singles to right field.

Coach out again and another change. Just when you think you have seen it all, you haven't.

Garrett William, is yet another OSU pitcher, a left hander.

Boswell bats lefty, with one on and one down.
He walks to put two on.

Clemens up with two on and one down.
The lefty hitter has two hits and needs another one to add more.
A fly ball to right is two down.

Gurwitz, bats righty, with two on.
Need more, as this game is far from over.

Coach out once more to bring in a right hander.

Carson LaRue, is the fifth OSU pitcher of the inning, a right hander.

Gurwitz, bats right handed against him with two on and two outs.
They throw a pick off at second into center, but nobody advances.
A full count and he golf ball four off the ground to center to retire the side.

Texas batted long enough it seemed to score four or five runs, they do get two and take the lead 3-2, to the bottom of the eighth. That was as strange of a half inning as I have ever seen.

Culbreth out again in the OSU eighth.

Green bats left handed, to lead off against him.
A little flair lands in center, for a lead single.

Walton bats righty, now as a switch hitter to face the lefty pitcher.
He bunts and the sac goes 1-3 for one away.

A right handed pinch hitter is David Petrino, with one on and one gone.

Skip comes out and now he wants a righty to face him.

    Pitching change.

Freshman right hander Connor Mayes, is the right hander in the game now for Texas.
He usually has some bulldog in him and he will need it, to keep the Horns in the lead.

Another pinch hitter, for the pinch hitter, is lefty hitting Mason O'Brian.
He K's him swinging on high heat, for two gone.

Hassel bats righty, with the tying run still at second and now two gone.
Now a balk is called on Mayes, to move the runner to third, the third balk of the night on Texas.
A ground ball up the middle and Baker makes a sliding stop and recovers to get him 6-3. This kid can play some infield.

The nice play keeps the Horns ahead 3-2 after eight.

    Worster,

    You're alright . . . .

I do love NB's narratives (we simply can NEVER thank him enough for all his years of faithful play-by-play postings).

Hell, I sometimes come home from UT baseball games in Austin and read his posts to relive the games (or see what I missed) . . . .

And it's also nice to see the games, as well, on the interwebs.

And, my goodness! Texas is ahead!

    Please, Horns, don't blow it. Please stay ahead . . . .

The ninth is here in a wild and woolly strange game. LaRue is back to pitch for OSU.

Marlow is up lefty, at the top of the order.
A ground ball to third is a 5-3 first out.

Baker, of the nice plays tonight, including the one last inning to keep the game tied, bats righty, with one gone.
He takes a called strike three for two down.

Johnson bats with two away, from the right side.
He lines a single to left to reach.
Got to let Johnson steal here.

Shaw up lefty, with two outs.
A fly ball to left will retire the side.

Bottom of the ninth in a weird one, do we have some crazy stuff left. I hope not, just three routine outs.

    Texas leads 3-2.

Mayes stays in and tries for the save.

Bradley of the earlier homer, leads off lefty, against him.
He K's swinging on a heater for one big out.

Brian Case, who came in to catch, bats righty, for the first time.
He flies to shallow right for two away.

Chappell bats righty, in the nine hole.
He is the last hope for OSU, and you really want to get him and not get the top of the order up.
He walks on four pitches, didn't want that.

Arakawa, bats lefty with the tying run on.
Two down and out comes Skip.
He leaves him out there. It just can't ever be easy it seems, for this team.
After a 3-0 count, it goes full and the runner will be on the move.
He walks on a high fast ball and the tying run goes to second and the winning run to first.

Costello up, from the right side, with two on and two outs.
A single up the middle ties the game.

    Game tied 3-3.

Green up from the left side, with two on and two on.
A ground ball back to Mayes ends the inning 1-3.

You just knew that this one had some more twists and turns.
To extras tied 3-3 after two outs and nobody on.

Superstition is for the uneducated, ignorant, unwashed masses who have never taken the college course entitled, "The Psychology of Superstition" . . . .

But Texas did blow it and let it get tied up . . . .

Okie State announcers now call it, "free baseball."

LaRue is back to pitch the tenth.

Barrera bats righty to leads off.
He lines a drive to center and the center fielder dives on the run and makes a spectacular catch for one gone.

Cantu is up also righty, with one gone.
A squibber to the left of the pitcher is in no man's land for an infield hit.

Boswell bats with one down and one on.
The lefty hitter K's swinging for two away.

Clemens bats lefty, with one on and two outs.
He walks to put the go ahead run in scoring position.

Gurwitz bats righty, with two on and two down.
The count runs full and the runners will be off on the pitch.
A pop up foul, on the right side is caught by the first baseman, to end the frame.

OSU has a chance to win it now in their half of the tenth.

Travis Duke will come in to pitch the tenth for the Horns, as a left hander.

Walton will lead off for OSU, from the right side.
He waves through a fast ball for one down, on the K.

Hunter Hagler, will pinch hit from the right side, with one gone.
He takes a slider on the outside corner for a called strike three and two outs.

Hassel bats righty, with two down.
He blows a fast ball by him to strike out the side.

    To the eleventh tied 3-3.

LaRue will still stay in to pitch the eleventh.

Marlow, at the top of the order, will greet him, batting lefty.
A pop up to second, by the bag is one away.

Baker bats with one away, right handed.
A full count is reached and is taken for a called strike three on the inside corner, for two gone.

Johnson bats righty, with two down,
A ground ball to short is booted for the E-6.
    Again, Johnson should steal here.

Shaw up with one on and two outs.
The lefty hitter watches multiple throws go to first.
He does go and steals the bag easily with his speed.

Shaw has a chance to give Texas the lead now.
He is walked on an intentional ball four, after a 3-0 count, to put two on.

Barrera is the right handed hitter, they want up to face the righty, LaRue.
A high foul pop by the stands, is caught by the catcher to end the frame.

Bottom of the eleventh tied at 3-3.

Duke returns to the rubber, trying to send the game to the twelfth.

He faces another OSU pinch hitter, John Littell, a righty hitter.
He takes a called strike three, for the fourth straight K for Duke.

Bryan Case bats righty, with one down.
A fly ball to center breaks the K string, but it's out two.

Chappell, is the nine hole hitter, batting righty, with two gone.
A ground ball to short retires the side on a close play at first .

To the twelfth tied 3-3 and shades of the second game at Nebraska.

Guess the pokes didn't score in the B11 as once again, 1300 went to some clown show late night sports talk show for 5 minutes...

    Hi Worster,

For years, I used to go to Stillwater with a friend every time Texas went up there, but haven't been there in probably 10 years. Can't tell that much from the video, but certainly their stands don't hold much of a crowd.

In Stillwater in 2002, I remember Augie taking a walk during batting practice around the entire periphery of the inside of the ballpark with Dustin Majewski, starting out in front of where we were sitting in the front row just to the right of the Longhorn 3rd base dugout. Augie had his arm draped around Dustin's shoulder during the entire circuit. Dustin, if you remember, was a very quiet kid, but probably the best player on the team. When he and Augie finished that long walk just in front of us, with Augie having talked to Dustin the whole time as they made that circuit, we heard Augie say something like, "Now you remember what I said about your needing to be a vocal leader." Within a couple of weeks, Dustin was talking much more to his teammates, patting them on the butt when they did well, and generally being a LOT more vocal. Texas won the national championship that year. It's those sorts of things that make Augie Garrido, our resident Zen Buddhist, a genius and why he's won more games than any other NCAA baseball coach . . . .

He can coach at Texas until he's 150 as far as I'm concerned. And, yes, I wish he could figure out how to get some more offense.

LaRue just keeps going, despite some wildness, as the twelfth is commencing.

Travis Jones will bat now as he came in as the DH, from the right side.
He actually got the swinging bunt his last at bat, instead of Cantu.
The count goes full again and he walks him, to put the lead man on.

Boswell up to bunt him over, I think, but it has been not the case always tonight.
A wild pitch puts Jones on second.
He can bunt him over to third now.
A 2-0 count and out the pitching coach comes.
    No change is made.
The bunt is down and the 5-3 sac sends the lead run to third.

Clemens up lefty, with a man at third and one down.

Pitching coach out and a lefty is summoned.

    Pitching change.
