Found this game summary from last night's game on D1baseball.

Spratling: Texas Finds A Way At UCLA | D1Baseball.com

Texas tries to win this first road series of the season, at UCLA today. The Horns have their most consistent pitcher in the starting rotation, on the hill today, in lefty, Ty Culbreth.

Hopefully he will have what is usually good command of his pitches, after the eleven walks given up last night. Also it's hoped the defense will settle down after committing three errors last night.

The bats look to continue their recent hot ways also and get Texas back above the .500 mark record wise.

Again no television or webcast, the audio on

UCLA will give the ball today to a big right hander in Jake Bird, who is 1-1, for the season, with a 4.66 era. He replaces Canning, who is the usual Saturday starter. Canning had to be moved to last night, because their usual Friday night starte Dyer, is injured.

Leading off for the Longhorns again is Travis Jones, who plays left field and bats righty handed.
Pitcher gets the sign and the second game of the series is underway.

Again the Longhorn audio isn't working, so like last night, must start the game listening to the UCLA broadcast.

    Jones in the box.
A ground ball to short goes 6-3, for the first out of the game.

Bret Boswell, the lefty hitting shortstop bats, with one gone.
He had a big homer last night.
A full count and a high fast ball is a free pass and the first runn for Texas.

The Horn DH is Patrick Mathis, batting lefty, with one on and one out.
He is out on a called strike three, on a heater, for two down.

Tres Barrera bats righty and plays third base today, with one on and two gone.
A grounder by the third baseman is the first hit of the day, to put two on.

First baseman Kacy Clemens bats lefty, with two on and two down.
Another full count and the runners will go and a ground ball to first and the 3U will end the inning.

Texas threatens, but doesn't score, the Bruins come to bat.

We really need to win the next two to get us back in the Pac12 championship race after getting swept by Cal last weekend and splitting with Stanford.

Ty Culbreth out to the mound for Texas, as the starter.

Leading off for the Bruins is the lefty hitting second baseman, Brett Urabe.
A fly ball to center and it's one down.

The centerfielder is Daniel Amaral, batting righty, with one away.
A grounder up the middle and Clemens has it behind the bag, but the throw is late to first, an infield hit, to put a runner on.

Eric Filia bats lefty, with one on and one down.
He plays in right field, today.
A grounder up the middle again and off Boswell, for another single, to put two aboard.

The third baseman is Luke Persico, batting righty, two on and one down.
A single to left on a line, will score a run.

    UCLA leads 1-0.

Kort Peterson, the DH bats lefty, with two on and one out.
The runners go and the throw to third is in plenty of time, but ruled safe, as Barrera must have missed the tag, big play there.
    A double steal is ruled.
A fly ball to left is a SF, the play at third costs Texas a run.

    UCLA leads 2-0.

Sean Bouchard plays first and bats righty, with a man at second and two down.
He K's on a low fast ball swinging, to retire the side.

Strange innning that sees the Bruins plate two and take a 2-0 lead, after an inning.

Byer back to the mound for the Bruins and now pitching with the lead, in the second.

Kody Clemens leads off for Texas, batting lefty and playing second base today, after playing third last night.
Joe Baker is hurt, the usual second baseman.
A ground ball to second and the 4-3 is out one.

Texas catcher today is Michael Cantu, batting righty, one out.
A liner down the line on the third base side goes to the wall, it's a stand up double.

The right fielder is Brady Harlan, batting lefty, with a man on third.
He bunts and the pitcher has it for a 1-3 second out as Cantu moves to third. Had to be bunting for a hit there. They give him a sac, and that is strange to me, in that situation.

Zane Gurwitz bats righty, with two down and a man at third, he plays centerfield.
He pops to second to end the frame.

Texas threatens again, but doesn't plate anybody.

Bottom of two and UCLA leads 2-0.

Culbreth back to the hill for Texas, in the second.
    Hoping for better results.

Leading off for the Bruins is left fielder Brett Stephens, batting righty.
He pops foul on the third base side and it's Cantu who grabs it for one away.

Trent Chatterton, the shortstop, bats righty, with one down.
He takes a curve ball on the outside corner, for a K, two gone.

Bruin catcher is Daniel Rosica, batting right handed, with two away.
He K's swinging, on a foul tip into Cantu's mitt, that retires the side in order.

Much better innning for Culbreth and after two, it's UCLA leading 2-0.

Culbreth out for his third inning of work.

Leading off for UCLA is the top of the order Urabe, batting lefty.
A fly ball in foul territory in right is runned down by Kacy Clemens, for one out.

Amaral bats righty, with one gone.
He K's swinging on the high heater, another foul tip, the fourth strike out for Culbreth.

The big lefty hitter, Filia, bats lefty, with two outs.
He bunts and Culbeth missed the one hopper, it's an E-1, to put a man on.

Persico bats righty, with one on and two away.
    He singled his first trip.
The runner goes on the hit and run and a grounder goes through where Boswell just vacated to cover second, to put two on.

Righty hitter Peterson bats with two on and two down.
A single to left center will plate another run.

    UCLA leads leads 3-0.

Bouchard bats righty, with two on and two outs.
A fly ball to right and that ends the inning.

UCLA gets an unearned run because of Culbreth's error, they lead now 3-0, after three.

Bird, the reliever pressed into service today, because of an injury, back for the Texas fourth, he is on a 60-70 pitch count.
Tres Barrera leads off, batting righty, for Texas.
He walks, for a lead runner.

Kacy Clemens bats lefty, with a man on.
He squares and fouls off two bunt attempts.
I guess the sac game is still on.
The count runs full now, after being 0-2 and a fly ball to center is one away.

Kody Clemens bats lefty, one on and one down.
A ground ball up the middle is flagged by the shortstop and the play goes 6-4-3, for an inning ending double play.

So UCLA still leads 3-0, bottom of four.

    Culbreth out for the fourth.

Stephens leads off for the Bruins batting righty.
A ground ball to third is a 5-3 first out.

Righty eight hole hitter is Chatterton, with an out.
He flies to left, for a quick out two.

Bottom of the order is Rosica, batting righty, two gone.
A liner to right is a single, to put a man on.

Top of the order is lefty hitting Urabe, one on and two down.
The runner goes and this time the throw is in time and the tagged made, to retire the side.

Four played now and UCLA is still leading 3-0.

Bird will go another inning in the fifth, dhe can become the pitcher of record and qualify for a possible win.

Cantu will lead off for the Horns batting righty.
    He doubled his first trip.
A ground ball to short and the 6-3 is one away.

Lefty hitting Harlan bats with one away.
A ground ball to second and the 4-3 is two down.

Gurwitz bats righty, with two gone.
He bats in the nine slot and another ground ball, this one to third goes 5-3, the side down in order.

UCLA keeps their 3-0 lead, halfway through the second game of the series.

Culbreth is still pitching for the Horns, in the fifth.

Top of the order is Urabe, he was left at the plate, on the caught stealing.
The lefty hitter will fly out to center, for one down.

Amaral has a hit today, the righty hitter bats, with one out.
Full count and is swung on and missed on a fast ball, the K is two gone.

Lefty hitter is Filia, he bats with two outs.
A liner to short is the third out and the side is again down in order.

Five played now and UCLA ahead 3-0.

Bird will stay around for another inning, as the reliever has kept Texas at bay, so far in the game.

Top of the order is up again, in Jones, batting righty.
A bunt up the third base line is a beauty, the throw is late, an infield hit, a lead runner.
    Bird has reached 70 pitches.

Boswell bats lefty, with a man aboard.
He squares and the sac bunt goes 1-3.

Mathis bats lefty, with a man at second and one down.
The Longhorn sound finally kicks in, wonder what is going on there.
A fly ball to left is two away.

Barrera bats righty, with one on and two gone.
He needs a two out hit, if Texas is to get on the board now.
A liner to right center and it's down in the gap, it's a double and it scores the run.

    UCLA leads 3-1.

Bird is finally done, but the reliever did a good job, as a starter today.

    Pitching change.

    NBHorn7 Pimp Daddy

New pitcher is righty Scott Burke, he is a true reliever, with a 2.35 era.

He will face lefty hitting Kacy Clemens, with a man on second, with two down.
He looks to make the game even closer.
A liner to right and that plates another run, on the single.

    UCLA leads 3-2.

Kody Clemens bats lefty, with one on and two gone.
A grounder to short and the 6-3 ends the inning.

Texas gets two and UCLA now leads 3-2, bottom of the sixth.

Culbreth back again for the Bruin sixth, the Texas audio goes out again, so back to the UCLA audio.

A fly ball to right and it's one down.

Kort Peterson, the DH bats lefty, with an out.
He grounds to first and the 3U is two down.

Righty hitting Bouchard bats, with two outs.
He swings and missed the curve ball, for a K, the side down in order again.

Burke stays in to pitch the Texas seventh, for the Bruins.

The Longhorn sound returns as Cantu will lead off for Texas, batting righty.
He K's looking, on the curve, one down.

Harlan bats lefty, with one away.
He also K's swinging, on the curve, two outs.

Gurwitz bats righty, at the bottom of the order. with two gone.
A liner to right and that retires the side in order.

They stretch at Jackie Robinson field, as UCLA leads 3-2.

Culbreth pitches on for the Horns in the Bruin seventh. He has pitched well since that strange second inning.

Lefty hitter Stephen bats, to lead off for UCLA.
He lines to first to Clemens, for one down.

Chatterton bats righty, with one away.
A grounder to second goes 4-3 or Clemens to Clemens for the second out.

Bottom of the order is Rosica, batting righty, with two outs.
Another grounder to second and ditto the last play means the side down in order yet again.

Seven played now and UCLA still leads 3-2.

  23. NBHorn7

Burke is out again, but the closer is warming in the UCLA pen, as the eighth starts.

Top of the order is up again, in Jones, batting right handed.
A fly ball to left and it gets out, to tie the game, on the homer.

    Game tied 3-3.

Boswell bats lefty, with a run in.
A fly ball to right is one down.

DH is Mathis batting lefty, one out and one in.
A ground ball up the middle is a single, to put a runner on.
Ty Rand comes in to run for Mathis.

UCLA coach is out and he wants the closer.
    Pitching change.

The new Bruin hurler is the closer Brian Gadsby, a submariner, who pitches righty, with a 4.00 era.

He faces righty hitter, Barrera, with one on and one down.
Barrera has had a good series with the bat, 2-2 today.
A balk is called on Gadsby and it moves Rand into scoring position, at second.
Now a hit to the outfield can give the Horns the lead, as Rand can really run.
A high pop up will not get it done, the first basman has it, two away.

Up to lefty hitter Kacy Clemens, now to score the run from second, two down.
He swings and misses the fast ball, to retire the side.

Texas does knot the game, on the Jones homer, so bottom of the eighth, tied 3-3.

It's still Culbreth pitching, as he looks to go eight innings, as he did in his last start.

It's the top of the order for UCLA, as Urabe bats lefty.
He is hit by an inside fast ball, to put the lead man on. The argument is on about him moving into the pitch, who knows with no video.

Amaral bats righty, with a man on.
He squares and fouls off two attempts to bunt.
Now a wild pitch moves the runner to second.
Texas bench thinks the batter swung.
Skip comes out and it's more to talk to the ump, he goes over to the Longhorn dugout, and the conversation goes on.
Amaral back in and he K's on a heater, for one down.

Filia bats lefty, with the lead run at second, one away.
    He is a dangerous hitter.
He lines a single to right, but the runner holds at third.

Skip out again and that's it for Ty.
Another good outing for Ty, but he could still lose this one.

    Pitching change.

Freshman Beau Ridgeway, a right hander comes into a big jam.

He faces right handed hitter Persico, with runners on the corners and one away.
The infield plays at double play depth.
A pop up in shallow center, caught by Gurwitz, the runner holds at third, is a big second out. The freshman does the job.

Skip out and he wants a lefty.

    Pitching change.

  29. NBHorn7

    NBHorn7 Pimp Daddy

That Texas lefty is Travis Duke, who pitched well last night.

He faces the lefty hitter, Peterson, the DH, runners on the corners, two down, in a tie game.
On a 1-2 pitch the runner purposely gets picked off first and the runner from third scores, as the play goes 1-3-6, to retire the side.

UCLA steals the lead, the Texas defense caught flat footed on that one. The Bruins lead 4-3, to the ninth.
