A comebacker and Jones is caught off second, he does stay in the rundown long enough for Baker to get to second, the play goes 1-4-5, for one out.

Kacy Clemens bats lefty, with a man on, with an out, he plays first base.
He takes a curve ball on the inside corner, for a called K, two down.

Vance still on the hill for WVU, as the fourth starts.

The Horns lead off with Gurwitz, batting righty.
A full count and he walks and as in every inning, a lead runner for Texas.

Hill bats righty, with a man on and two away.
He grounds a ball up the middle that McKenzie gets to, but no play, another infield hit, puts two on.

Runners on the corners, with two down, for righty hitter Vera.
A big hitter for Culbreth, as he tries to keep it a one run game.
The runner is picked off first and the play goes 1-3-6, they say the run scores before the out. No way that happened, even the homer WVU announcers think so, they discuss it and let the play stand, bad call. The inning over. Skip argues to no avail. It was a called play, but it wasn't close.

WVU adds a bogus run and lead 6-4, after four.

A wild offensive game early and then the WVU bullpen shut down Texas, the latter part of the game.

Texas battled, but couldn't hold WVU. An error gave WVU back the lead and then Texas just seemed cursed, they would hit balls that died at the track. Really looked liked Cantu's fly ball to left would easily be a homer and give Texas a 9-6 lead, but died at the fence.

It's that type of year and now Texas has to win out, for a .500 regular season.

One game left tomorrow, Texas tries to not be swept in two straight conference series, back at high noon, hope to be on time anyway. :hookem:
