Criteria? No main character is safe. My entries: 1) The Mist (everyone dies...no escape...******* bleak movie) 2) The Descent (those poor, stupid biatches) 3) Predator vs. Alien Requiem (just saw this last night...gezus...even the pregnant women and children couldn't get away in this one. The enitre town get's nuked)
I'll nominate "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid" as the best. There were certainly no prisoners taken in that one. Here's some others: "Duel in the Sun" is a good one. The Link And "Before the Devil Knows You're Dead" is another. The Link Then there's "Seconds." The Link And "The War Lord." The Link And "Bataan." The Link Plus, "The Naked Prey." The Link These are all good movies that fit your criterium. Check 'em out. And then, of course, there's always "Titanic."
Alien. When I saw it the first time, I was thinking "just blow yourself up with the ship." Sigourney had more determination than me. I'll also second Dawn of the Dead and The Thing.
To me the spirit of the post is: no one lives, there is no hero standing at the end. Resevoir Dogs comes to mind.
When it is all said and done it is going to be Punisher: War Zone. Red Band Trailer. This looks like it will be the most violent movie of all time.
Dirty Dozen Saving Private Ryan (although I wish that prick Ryan had actually died--he didn't do **** when the Germans counterattacked)
