Maybe Kamala will rise to the occasion and give them what she can: a welcome to America blow job.

I believe it is ICE as well. And this doesn't have to be all done in a year (or even 5). There are 12-15 million illegals here already. We would not want the chaos of booting them all out at once. I'm not even suggesting that we need to actually boot them all out. I'm suggesting that we want US national interests to be paramount when we decide on an appropriate immigration inflow and not individual business interests or political interests (or the immigrant's interests). And once WE decide the appropriate number, we have affirmative control of inflows. (ie, it would all be legal immigration based on our own needs, rather than illegal immigration based on immigrants needs/wants). We don't have to crack down on every business and we don't have to find every illegal. Once the business world sees that we are finally serious about penalizing them for violating these laws then they would mostly fall in line. There will always be a few that still try to sneak by but we don't need 100% effective with super high costs of implementation. We need 85% effective with relatively low cost of implementation. if I'm an immigrant and i know that there is a high likelihood that i get caught and that getting caught means auto-deport and criminal record then I wait for the legal way the vast majority of the time.

Good Golly Miss Molly! Biden solved the border.
    From Reuters
Over the past two days, the United States Border Patrol has experienced a 50% drop in the number of encounters versus what we were experiencing earlier in the week before Title 42 ended at midnight on Thursday," Mayorkas said.

"It is still early. We are in day three. But we have been planning for this transition for months and months."

Mayorkas said that U.S. Border Patrol agents had about 6,300 encounters with border-crossers on Friday and another 4,200 on Saturday, compared with more than 10,000 shortly before Title 42's expiration.
Mexican border crossings are down 50% since Title 42 expiration, homeland security chief says

Mayorkas forgot to mention the judge's decision. And didn't see this
Title 42’s end drawing record number of illegal border crossings

Abbott should call the Texas National Guard to keep illegals from coming over the border.

    Mona,

If I understand correctly, de Santis is sending the Florida National Guard to help patrol the border

Ok. So then why are 20,000 illegals still crossing the border. With Abbott it is always half action. Ok he sent the guard to the border. But they aren't keeping the people out.

Texas needs to exert its own sovereignty and kick the US Army out. They are at this point an invading army letting in another invading army.

There are approx 2200 in Texas State Guard. Not all could be deployed.
Remember how many miles our border covers.
ANY they keep out is a win.
Biden's troops are escorting the illegals in

Mona Kick the feds out? Come on. Be serious

    6721,

There are a couple of dozen F-17s int he Texas Air National Guard at Ellington. Load em with napalm,. Couple of low altitude passes, fry some farm land, then low passes down the river. Should at least scare more than 50% away.

This from Abbott's site might explain what our Guard And DPS are doing.

There has been some encouraging news that indicates Governor Greg Abbott is doing just that by deploying the Texas National Guard and Texas DPS to completely lock down certain heavily-trafficked areas of the border and deny entry into Texas.

So we don't have enough people and can't lock down the entire border. Nor btw can we "Kick out the US Army"

Focus on the primary border points (Brownsville, McAllen, Starr County, Laredo, and maybe Del Rio & Eagle Pass). Where are they going to go from El Paso without government assistance?

Places with no industry, construction, jobs require transportation to places with jobs. They have been bused to the Southern border of Mexico, bussed across Mexico. They ain't used to walking and ain't gonna walk to Houston or Dallas from El Paso. Besides, El Paso has a massive military instillation to help, and of course, I'm sure Beto is putting up as many as possible at his house.

I'm worried about the upcoming "war" between the estimated 750,000 from Mexico in Houston's east end and the new arrivals from South America. They ain't exactly "friends"

They are actively thwarting the will of the governor and the Texas people. They need to get out. As long as we all sit by, the wokesters will continue to ruin our lives and our country. The US army is controlled by wokesters.

My hope if there was some kind back and forth between Abbott and Biden, that the patriots in the US army would make it known that they won't take up arms against Texans. But I guarantee many would. That type of fracture needs to happen to separate the patriots from the progressives.

Thanks for explaining what Abbott has been doing. All I was seeing were the long lines of immigrants the descriptions of an invasion. This helps me understand what is going on.

But if the US army is opening up gates and thwarting the Texas guard and DPS, they should removed. Abbott should at least call for them to be removed. There must be some push back.

You are 1000% right that as long as most of us including supposed conservative Reps Senators Govs etc do nothing things will only get worse..
I have seen some signs of pushback in the last 2 weeks so maybe it will grow.

From a friend of mine who is currently working with the Methodist Church in New Mexico, they are being bused into New Mexico. 3 40 passenger buses arrived at my friend's church yesterday. None had court date papers or sponsors, and all had been told the church would pay their way to wherever they wanted to go (they were quickly told that the church will feed them and give them a bed for the night, but they would be moving on today).

The gov of Texas cannot, will not run off US troops. Those troops take a pledge to protect the USA. Not Del Rio

    Potus = commander in chief
Governor of Texas = not commander in chief
