I wonder if USC runs it on Saturday?
Is their coach in Mensa? If not, then they probably will.
Do they even use a coach, or a binder?
Binders are so hot right now.
Are the coaches mice or men?
Flipping it around, whatever offensive play(s) we run that work(s), we will likely abandon, along with the player(s) that made said play(s) work.
Did Algernon like flowers?
Was he Catholic?
And this thread, my friends, is why Hornfans will live forever.
A whole article dedicated to Maryland running the jet sweep against us? Yes, yes there is...
Maryland ran a jet sweep five times in six plays against Texas, and it was a little weird
I shudder to think of it but what if they run a jet sweep pass? I don't think a defensive scheme for that even exists
"Overall, the Terps picked up 17 yards on five jet sweeps in the midst of an 11-play, 90-yard drive that ended with kicker Joseph Petrino drilling a short field goal just a few yards away from the goal line."
By that time we'd "figured it out..."
Well, if USC's wide open receiver drops one of those for a sure touchdown, our guys will take credit and high five each other and dance around.
5 times for 17 yards? From the past couple of weeks here, I could have sworn it was 5 times for 70 yards.
5times for 17? I don’t believe it.
That was just in that one drive, in the 3rd quarter.
In the first half they jet swept 4 times for 170 yards. Or not. Anyway it was a whole lot.
The problem was defending the Jet Sweep was not in The Binder... it is now post game.
Scattershooting while wondering if defending USC's patented Student Body Right.... is in The Binder this week?
Its all in the binder. If this doesn't inspire this team to victory, nothing will gentlemen:
Student Body Right: Page 3, Section1.D.2)
Jet Sweep: Page 62, Section 3.B.8)j)ii appendix
It's California...could be male mice in makeup...
I watched the USC vs Stanford game carefully. USC did not run ANY Jet Sweeps in the game. They did occasionally put a wide receiver in motion prior to the snap, in a way that could become a Jet Sweep, but they did not even fake a hand-off to him.
If you were the OC at USC, don't you think you'd install a couple jet sweep variants just for this week, then run them until we prove we can stop them?
So you're telling me we have a chance?
Has our offensive staff shown the ability to design any plays that exploit a huge weakness in any defenses we play? Let's hope the USC staff is of the same mold.
USC ran a Jet Sweep on 1st play from scrimmage. Got Stuffed.
They tried, they failed.
Sky’s falling, Oh wait USC rushes for -5 yards ..... for the game.
