Just watched first qtr again (call me glutton) and noticed that on nd's second TD drive Malik was not on the field entire drive. The kid is (and will be) a huge difference maker for this defense. He is out of his element in pass coverage - hopefully he will learn that - but when in he is all over the field. Now to be candid he may have been in on first play of series but. I can say was not on the fiel after that, and imho, it made a difference in our effectiveness.
I found it difficult to fault the LBs for broken pass coverages when Bedford did nothing but call the same zones all night long. Of course they're going to get picked apart. So did every CB and safety on the roster. If you're going to run a 1992 Alabama defense, you better have pressure from the front 3.
