Free live streaming video and audio are both available. Audio: The Link or their free app for mobile devices Video: the original information (PPV via the Oahu cable company's site) was incorrect and the links don't work. It was a bit convoluted to get to, but I do have the video streaming now on a different computer. I'll post the direct link shortly... 15-12 Texas in Game #2
The direct link (to a page on snappytv.com) doesn't work (at least in FF), so go to this bigwest.org URL, wait for the page to load and click the link quickly...because it will scroll off it you don't time it perfectly. Much like texassports.com in that regard... A nice feature is that the video stream is like a DVR, you watch from the beginning even if you start now. Time out Texas, leading 23-18.
Wahine take Game #3, 27-25. Very disappointing after being up two or three game points. Ghosts of past Longhorn squads... Go 'Horns, bounce back stronger than ever!
from the texassports.com game story local times for today's games: vs Miners at 4 p.m. Central and vs the Toreros at 11 p.m. Central.
Took a little while to get going last year too and these early season tough games and even losses can be great learning tools.
Horns go into the break up 2-0 over UTEP after winning a much closer game two, 25-19. Pilar is emerging as a scoring option to Haley, Bailey & Khat.
Hannah Allison did not play against UTEP. Anybody know why? They are playing three matches in 23 hours. Maybe it was a combination of rest for Hannah and experience for Chloe.
I saw the match against Hawaii and Hannah just didn't play like she's capable of playing. Her floor defense was sub-par and her decision making and placement just seemed to be off in my opinion.
Both Hannah and Molly did not play in the UTEP match this afternoon. They both played poorly in the Hawaii match, so Elliot may be shaking things up to light a fire under their asses... what will be really telling is if Chloe and Sara get the start tonight. There are a lot of girls on the team wanting playing time and are capable of starting....may the best players see the court!
When you are playing UTEP in the morning with a match against San Diego that evening, resting some starters is a good idea. Hannah was possibly the only Longhorn on the court for the entire match (maybe Pilar?), so a) rest, and b) wanting to see what the freshman setter can do / get her some experience without resorting to the dreaded 6-2 are other possible reasons Hannah watched. As already noted, we'll get another clue when we see the lineup tonight. The texassports.com writeup said
Out of the timeout, Texas and USD trade points from 12-8 to 14-10, whereupon USD commits a service error and Texas takes the match.

H.Eck and Pilar both hit negative, ouch. Amy Neal tied with Bailey Webster for #2 scorer, with 13.5 points. Strangeness dominates.
