Texas the #2 overall seed. They start playing Northwestern State, and then Texas A&M in the 2nd round. Be great to have the Aggies back in Gregory. Other notable teams in our bracket include: Colo. St., Colo., NC, USC, Orgeon, Oklahoma. But USC is down this year...and we can take Oklahoma again. Good news: no PSU and no Florida in our bracket.
Here is their total bracket: Minneapolis Regional 7 UNC Hampton Coastal Carolina USC Oklahoma LSU Santa Clara 10 Oregon 15 Colorado State Denver Northern Colorado Colorado Texas A&M Arizona State Northwestern State 2 Texas
^^^^ Good draw. Makes me feel a little bit better about the Final Four tickets that I purchased awhile back.

Am I reading the schedule right? We play N'western St on Thursday at 8 p.m. and then the winner of agroids and az st on Friday at 9 p.m.?
A link to the schedule, please? I can't find it. The tower is lit up a beautiful burnt orange tonight, by the way, in honor of winning the conference. I can see it from my balcony...
^^^Here's a link to the tournament bracket: Linky Horns play at 7 pm CST on Thurs (12/4). Second round match is at 8 pm CST on Friday (12/5).
Don't assume A&M will beat Arizona State. The Sun Devils are a very talented team, and swept Texas 3-0 last year in a September tournament in Illinois.
aggie down 2-1 with set four to come. They lost the last two. aggie must be mad that 1. they have to watch the game on the LHN and 2. that they are behind 2 sets to one.
Much better team effort tonight. I think Texas tends to play to the level of their competition. Hookem'
Match times aren't yet known, but the Minneapolis Regional matchups are set: #2 Texas vs. #15 Colorado State #7 North Carolina vs #10 Oregon The above numbers are based on tournament seedings. Using AVCA coaches poll numbers as of 12/01 (just after the end of the regular season), the matchups are: #6 Texas vs. #9 Colorado State #7 North Carolina vs #16 Oregon It would be interesting to see how these matchups rate under Pablo and under Massey ratings. Based on AVCA, however, the Texas path to the regional final is a lot tougher than NC's. In today's matches, however, CSU needed five games to put away Colorado, while NC stormed back from down 0-1 against USC (one of the hottest teams in the country, based on their "meteoric" rise in the Pablo system, despite their unimpressive cumulative season record). Nothing can be taken for granted in a one-and-done playoff format. Moral of the story: Don't judge the Minneapolis Regional based on name recognition alone. That's important because the Texas program has a long history of playing down to the expected level of competition, and if they show up thinking the Rams will be easy prey, their goose may be cooked.
ESPN3 is just a streaming webcast, correct? That's lame. I wonder why LHN can't pick this up, since it's already being broadcast by a sister ESPN station.
LHN is re-airing a Texas/Nebraska football game at 4:00 today. I'm sure it's a good game and all, but why wouldn't they show a live volleyball playoff match instead? Makes no sense.
It sucks that the game isn't on the regular ESPN channels, BUT if you have a Roku, you can add the Watch ESPN channel, then watch it on ESPN3 at 4pm today
