I tried it while back. Bread was too thick and there was too much cheese--made it kind of gummy in the mouth. It was disappointing because in concept, it sounds so promising.
I was thinking that might be a negative, doesn't seem like that much bread is needed. Don't think it would fit the 'South Beach diet'
I cry BS...it may be the best Whataburger has ever had. The only thing missing, which takes it from good to Whatalicious, is grilled jalapenos.
i gotta agree. that thing is delicious. couldn't believe when someone said they didn't like it. Not sure what the sauce is, but it's not overwhelming. thought it flowed well with the sandwich. it's my new favorite order at Whataburger.
I order with only 1 patty and add grilled jalapenos and instantly find a zen and a uphoria only a well made and well timed WB can bring. It is wickedly good, but blows the fat count off the charts. It is a special occasion sammich.
Ok, now I'm needing one. I believe I have just the special occasion, 2 am after the bars close this Friday. Can't wait....
I haven't had tried it yet but the other promotions I have tried at Whataburger (A1 burger,..) I have always thought "I should have just got a Whataburger with cheese".
Patty Melt + extra sauce + extra grilled onions = Patty Melt + extra sauce + extra grilled onions + grilled japs =
