With a Loss Today....

Sam Ehlinger will tie Peter Gardere for the most losses as a UT starting QB (16 losses). Seems shocking, but true. More a testament to the coaching staff than to poor Sam.

Amazing to think that Sam will ultimately hold the record for UT losses as a starting QB. Of course this shows his durability as a starter, and he certainly will not have the worst win/loss percentage (That distinction is held by Donovan Forbes and a host of others at 0.00%).

 

Few four year starters at Texas the past 30:years. I think only Colt besides Sam, and the Colt years were probably the highest winning percentage at Texas. Can’t remember the 2007 season record, but only 2 losses in 06, and 1 each in 08 and 09.
