A little more detail on this part. Look, I get it that there is not much interest in here on this stuff even though this was, by my estimation, an attempted coup in the United States of America. So its interesting and important even if I am the only one who thinks so. Still, I admit this next part is getting pretty deep in the woods.

Nonetheless, the story is that, completely independent from anything to do with President Trump, McCabe had a pre-existing personal grudge against General Flynn because Flynn went to bat for FBI SSA Robyn Gritz against McCabe. I wrote quite a bit about this story sometime back. So part of what happened here is that McCabe was seeking retribution against Flynn. He had motive, opportunity and the ability to set Flynn up. Lisa Page reported directly to McCabe and Page is the person who altered the 302s.

You are documenting things I did not know. Thank you. What they did to a man who honorably served our country for over 30 years is uphauling.
I hope his attorneys can expose the crap.

This from JF's link seems so commons sense duh, what am I missing? Will dems try to block?

Good twitter thread by a former 20-year FBI agent focused primarily on FBI process in political cases, if you are interested in this aspect

Not sure I have ever posted this before, but this story is a real page turner. Apparently Lisa Page was sleeping with both Peter Strzok AND her boss, Andrew McCabe. This was in addition to, presumably, her husband. Three is a throuple but what is four?

Perhaps there will be a nude pic of Page brushing McCabe’s hair?

For the record, all the men involved were also married.

Definitely a beehive of throupling. And if I were tasked with deposing her, I would figure out a way to get it on the record that she, Strzok and McCabe participated in a 3-way. The country might not want to know but it has a right to know what the top folks at these departments were doing.

So after getting this filing from Sidney Powell, which was a relatively big one (160 pages) at the district court level, Judge Sullivan delayed the scheduled hearing.

Besides the question of Lisa Page and the doctored FBI 302s (which included the addition of an entire question and answer that was later used to criminally indict Flynn), Powell also showed that Obama’s former DNI James Clapper was directly involved in the leaking of the Flynn-Kislyak conversation prior to Trump’s Inauguration.

Easy to see now why DOJ/FBI fought the release of these documents for so long. It's an ironic moment for me personally. One the one hand, I want to see Flynn finally get some fair treatment and justice, but on the other, the behavior of DOJ attorneys in all of this is extremely disappointing, even shocking.

The treatment against Flynn has sounded appalling for some time now. Probably 8 months ago it was obvious he was being lied to and set up by the government.

The only people haven't thought this way assume every government agent sans Trump is completely reliable and above questioning, their motives or their means.

What is difficult for me is seeing ANY government agent as trustworthy. I know there are some but I can't help but label all of DOJ and DOD as Deep State and against the American people.

The FBI does not want to let Powell/Flynn have the original notes/original 302s. With good reason I suppose, but too bad. And Lisa Page was not present at the Flynn interview. So she has zero 'legitimate business' being involved in editing/changing them.

I had to look up "elide""
What I don't know is can the FBI not turn over the original 302 now that we know Lisa Page changed it

Here is an article speculating about what this latest filing in the Flynn case means. Reading the tea leaves in this situation can be challenging, but there is reason for the Flynn side to have hope

" ..... Late yesterday, Judge Sullivan entered an order directing the government to file a surreply brief by November 1, 2019, but in doing so instructed prosecutors to address not just the Brady issues, but any “new relief, claims, arguments, and information raised in Defendant’s Reply Brief.” ......

Whether Judge Sullivan will schedule oral argument after receiving these latest filings is yet to be seen. And how he will rule is anyone’s guess. But that Judge Sullivan did not limit the additional briefing to specific Brady issues, but instead directed the government to respond broadly to any “new relief, claims, arguments, and information,” suggests the long-time federal judge’s concern has been piqued by what he’s read so far."

Peter Strzok told both the Special Counsel (Mueller) and the FBI that his partner Joe Pientka was "primarily responsible for taking notes and writing the FD-302" of the 01/24/17 interview of General Flynn

This appears to have been a lie. if so, it would, ironically enough, be the same felony Flynn was charged with: 18 USC §1001 (false statements)

The briefs are still flying in the Flynn case

It's obviously not easy to get a guilty plea reversed. One of the few avenues for this relief is "prosecutorial misconduct," which Powell may have found. The judge is at least entertaining the idea. And Powell is building a nice record for an appeal, if necessary.

In the Flynn case, the FBI responded to Powell's latest saying they misrepresented the authors of the different 302s (noting FBI rules say there must be only one). That Strzok's notes are really Pientka's notes, and Pientka's notes are really Strzok's notes. And they have allowed this bit of incompetence to sit out there for over 2 years, or more.

The WAPO had another goof up, indirectly identifying one of the FBI leakers -- and he was quickly named as Kevin Clinesmith (if you dont already know, lawyers are usually the "leakers" in DC). Clinesmith is known as one of the key early members of the FBI team that looked in Hillarygate.

Clinesmith was supposedly having an affair with another lawyer at the FBI named Sally Moyer. Can you guess what her primary role was?
FISA warrants. Those two worked together on the Carter Page warrant. Go figure
Quite the incestous lot over there

One or both of them are a candidate to flip on their superiors, as often happens. Which makes you wonder if maybe the WAPO mistake was not a mistake at all. Maybe they were letting the other crooks know who is going to spill the beans. If one ends up committing "suicide," we will know for certain. If I were him/her, I would have hired security by now (even if it was only cousin Bobby with his 12 gauge)

Anyway. the WAPO subsequently edited their story so the identities of these rats could not so easily be ascertained. Orig version

    Edited version
[…] The person under scrutiny is a low-level FBI lawyer who has since been forced out of the agency, according to the officials, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss material that has not yet been made public.

The employee was forced out of the FBI after the incident was discovered, two U.S. officials said. Horowitz found that the employee erroneously indicated he had documentation to back up a claim he had made in discussions with the Justice Department about the factual basis for the application. He then altered an email to back up that erroneous claim, they said. (link)

If you dont recall from earlier, the Page warrant was fudged.

An FBI employee modified the original FISA application, falsely stating that he/she had "documentation" to back up the claims made by DOJ for the FISA warrant.
This employee also "altered an email" to substantiate his/her inaccurate version of events

So remember Michael Atkinson? He was the IG for the Intel side who modified whistleblower forms which is what allowed this current purported "whisteblower" to start this entire current impeachment saga. And that change got backdated.

The same guy was chief legal counsel for DOJ-NSD over Kevin Clinesmith and Sally Moyer (see above). These are two of the people who apparently falsified official FBI documents to illegally obtain the Page FISA warrant

    Anyone smell a rat?
