I was listening to ESPNU radio on SiriusXM at lunch. They said Tre Norwood started all 14 games last year, was OU's leading tackler, biggest DB with longest arms, and best defensive player. Huge loss for OU's defense.
For a while I have believed Duvernay is way under used in the O. Kid is very athletic, good size, elite hands & speed, gets open & great YAC. I think he will do great things this season if they put and keep him as slot WR and GET HIM THE BALL !!
On the one hand, him and Heard both. On the other hand, there's only so many receptions out there and Johnson/Humphrey sure took up a lot of them (although Heard in particular didn't get used in other ways like he could have, but Duvernay could have been dangerous on jet sweeps and reverses also).
Stat, My complaint was that Duvernay was on the sideline as we march down the field. Then he goes in when we reach the red zone. Why? I wanted his great speed and deep threat in the middle of the field, not in short control situations.
