Moondog, over the years I have come to respect your comments and admire your ability to express yourself. But today, after the fantastic draft results for our beloved Horns, You have out done yourself. I agree with you totally.
Since Pompoms gave me a “WTF,” let me make my case. This assumes no major injury to the player, no dramatic and unexpected regression in performance, and no major off-field issues.I know that this will sound crazy but after reviewing the Texas roster for 24, it wouldn’t surprise me if the draft numbers for 2025 were not only above what we just saw, but well above. I counted 24 players that would appear to have a good shot at being drafted next year. Many, a lock.
Sark is assembling a juggernaut.
well now that i have seen the list, nice work BTW, your statement seems more plausible.Since Pompoms gave me a “WTF,” let me make my case. This assumes no major injury to the player, no dramatic and unexpected regression in performance, and no major off-field issues.

I listed 26 players. Am I off by much? The NFL clearly likes what Sark is doing in Austin. That was obvious over the last several days. Additionally, his connections within the NFL are paying dividends for his players.
This is true, but I was only really addressing the talent level and the appeal to NFL teams. As we all know, often talent does not translate. But if you add in Sark’s obsession with culture and the manner in which the staff is developing talent, and one has to be optimistic about the upcoming season. Please guys (and gals) let’s play the season. congrats to all draftees, great class and hope they are all successful.
hookem
Unfortunately, the odds are Brooks and Sanders will be buried in the hell hole that is the Carolina Panthers.I’m really happy for all of our guys who got drafted but Brooks is one of my favorites. For a guy that talented to sit behind 2 other enormously talented backs and watch them get all the glory for 2 years while waiting for his turn says a lot about him. I wish other kids would look at Brooks as an example of patience and perseverance and not be so quick to transfer for the instant gratification of playing time.
I really hope Brooks has a marvelous injury free career. Hook ‘em Jonathan!
