Watched whole hour of CNN and Fox News side by side at the gym this morning. Not one mention of the college protests on CNN.

Yes, the bigger, and less obvious, story, is that you were at the gym this morning. Of course, that doesn't necessarily mean you were working out.

I’m confident it was not a HIC level workout, but probably more of a Worster level.

From what I have seen it would appear about 1 percent of the student body is participating—-at most.
When I was participating in such bs in the 60s and 70s in Austin we had the same 1,500 people in every demonstration except one. And UT got an undeserved reputation as a hotbed of radicalism. You could find 70,000 in the stands for football and 1,500 for anti war protests

our great success? We elected Richard Nixon president twice

these narcissistic children need to stfu and get educations

I thought I saw a polyamorous couple in their 20’s standing in line at Starbucks between Austin and Houston. It was dude with 2 cute chicks hanging on him. This was shortly after covid if I recall. Weird feeling.

We've always had freaks and weirdos, and we've always had perverse dudes who could ******** two young, dumb girls into double-teaming him. But is it really "seemingly everywhere?"

Despite the best efforts of NY-based media (For some reason, the Times and New Yorker seem to push this the hardest.), this is still almost entirely the province of freaks and weirdos. It's not everywhere, and if it seems like it's everywhere, then the NY media figures associate largely with freaks and weirdos.

I would believe it is "normal" in NYC. It isn't normal in Austin, TX... yet.

I don't believe it's even normal in NYC, but among media elites, it probably is.

It is worse than just the Russians decided our election

the American electorate picked Trump and Biden and came close to picking Hillary

I am puzzled as to how the Ruskies could have done us a greater disservice

the fault lies not in our stars or in Putin but in our pathetic illiterate ignorant electorate

The fault actually lies in the neoliberal party system which controls everything from entertainment to education to ballot access to news media. The fascist state apparatus conditions us to spit out the democratic result it wants.

Trump is a fly in the ointment and that is why the system hates him so much. That doesn't make Trump a good President or wise or the solution to the country's problems. But Americans saw a chance to choose someone other than a politician groomed by the system and they took it. Good on them (us). But we still gotta break the system.

Morning Joe with a “concerning” segment on how the justice system favors Trump. You can’t make this stuff up.

Boo Hoo, at 18 I was old enough to kill for my country but not drink a beer. I agree there should be no 18 year old strippers. She could literally still be in high school stripping for her teacher.
