Doing god’s work every year.

unless I really get bored I probably won't see any of the bowl games until the final four
I believe bama crushes mich.
I think we out score Washington. Our offense will have to be on point.
Then we beat bama and are NATIONAL CHAMPS!
though I hate playing a team twice in the same season. Their offense is better this time but so is ours.

Iowa came away with a good consolation prize for their drubbing by the Wolverines: a NYD bowl in Orlando.

What did Okie State get? A bowl game in Houston. With aggys.

WaPo likes the Sugar Bowl.

And has a nice pic of T’Vondre Sweat

"Iowa averaged 16.6 points (better than only three FBS teams) and 238.8 yards (last in the FBS) and still won 10 games. This means two things: Hawkeyes defensive coordinator Phil Parker did as good of a job as any assistant coach in the country, and Iowa is not an ideal cure for a New Year’s hangover."

I am still letting it sink in that we are in CFP.
In Sarks third season.
From where we were.
Yes, certainly hit a good run. Sark is an excellent recruiter but apparently is also a good leader based on the buy in from the players. We have seen very little attrition from players and we have also seen development that has been lacking on the 40 acres for quite some time. Good time to be a longhorn!!!

Cal gets to travel to lovely Shreveport mid Dec. to meet Tceh for a meaningless bowel game!

Shreveport is a DUMP 12 months of the year!!! :rolleyes1:

There have been times I have been critical of Sark, even this season.
In defense of Sark his first two seasons, he had little depth and an inexperienced QB. Those conditions certainly contributed to questionable calls/decisions.
But now he is letting loose. He is trusting his players, all his players but especially Ewers. He is doing more trick plays which I like to refer as deception plays. I have called for that for a long time and they have been wonderfully successful most of the time. I am sure Sark will seize this opportunity and will go all out.
Love seeing Sark's and Ewer's progress.
And let's not forget we are doing this despite some significant injuries.

Great to have you on board the sunshine wagon!

Any interest in the Little Brothers Bowl?

Some good bowl games, along with lots of stinkers.

Until this game, there are none worth me watching.

This will be fun to see two second tier schools battle things out, with hopefully more ATM misery:
  • Dec 27 (Wed) 8:00 PM
  • Texas A&M vs. No. 20 Oklahoma State
    TAXACT TEXAS BOWL
    NRG Stadium
    Houston, TX
Decent matchup here:
  • Dec 28 (Thu) 8:15 PM
  • No. 14 Arizona vs. No. 12 Oklahoma
    VALERO ALAMO BOWL
    Alamodome
    San Antonio, TX
Not sure how Missouri got ranked in the top 10. Did they beat anyone good? Ryan Day is on the hotseat here. A loss combined with 0-3 the last 3 seasons against Michigan makes it burning
Could be a fun game. Always good to see Penn State lose.
  • Dec 30 (Sat) 1:00 PM
  • No. 11 Ole Miss vs. No. 10 Penn State
  • CHICK-FIL-A PEACH BOWL
    Mercedes-Benz Stadium
    Atlanta, GA

A battle of runner ups. You wonder how many good players will even play in this one, vs. skipping it out to save themselves for marriage (ha!) or at least the NFL draft.
I wonder if this game is the once per year little school coming out fired up and knocking off some bored, overconfident P5 school.
  • Jan 1 (Mon) 1:00 PM (EST)
  • No. 23 Liberty vs. No. 8 Oregon
    VRBO FIESTA BOWL
    State Farm Stadium
    Glendale, AZ
Good one.
Even better.

Arizona lost to Mississippi aggy and Washington by 1 TD and SC by 2 points in OT. Should be an entertaining game by ou should win by at least 10.

  • Dec 29 (Fri) 7:00 PM
Misery lost to LSU by 10 and Georgia by 9
aOSU has a point to prove and should win. However, Misery has a history of playing games like this close.

  • Dec 30 (Sat) 3:00 PM
  • No. 6 Georgia vs. No. 5 Florida State
    Hard Rock Stadium
    Miami, FL
This should shut up everyone, but only if Georgia comes to play.

  • an 1 (Mon) 1:00 PM (EST)
  • No. 23 Liberty vs. No. 8 Oregon
    VRBO FIESTA BOWL
    State Farm Stadium
    Glendale, AZ
Would like to say this will be a good game, but Oregon should roll.

I wonder which network will show the Sugar Bowl. I am in Dallas and channel 8 here didn't show CCG So I got a 7 day free trial with FUBO
It expires tomorrow. Can't decide to stay with it and pay for it in case game is iwn ABC.

According to ESPN app it's on ESPN.

I’d like to ask you guys to watch the Camellia Bowl on Dec 23. My great-nephew is the starting center for Arkansas State. Jacob Bayer, #73. He made first team All-Sunbelt Conference, and PFF ranks him as the #2 center in the Group of Five and the #3 center in the FBS. In 697 snaps this season, he allowed just seven QB pressures and only one sack.

i know most of you view the smaller bowls as meaningless, but I can assure you, they aren’t meaningless to those teams, to those coaches, to those fans, or those schools. They get the extra practice, same as the teams in the prestige bowls, and they get money for their schools/conferences.

The Red Wolves started slow, but they worked hard and improved, and they are grateful for their reward.

And their hand sign is the sign of the wolf, very similar to our own!

It is OU's call
Being in the portal doesn't stop a player from playing.
It is up to the school or players.
LC posted on the random thread that Caleb Williams father won't let him play in Bowl game. Linc. is steamed:lmao:
