IMO the football management at Denver is very poor. That starts with John Elway. HOF QB, sure. But think Peter Principal as the President of Football Operations. Aside from the coaching carousel, their selection of Russell Wilson - and what they gave up to acquire him — is Jerrah-esque. Anybody who follows the game closely could see that Wilson’s best days were well behind him as they watched Seattle last year. He had become a liability. His ineptitude in Denver was absolutely predictable. Not sure what the heck Elway and his GM were thinking. True, Elway brought in Peyton Manning at the end of his career and won a Super Bowl, but that was Peyton Manning, and he had a team around him. I wouldn’t expect much out of Denver as long as Elway is involved in affecting the personal decisions. That is, unless they get lucky and find the next John Allen beyond the first round.
